Status:

Found solitary or in groups on wood/needles/duff under conifers; also found on hardwood debris.

Description:

Cap: Orange overall, sometimes orange-brown with darker disc; dry; minutely velvety to rather smooth; flat-topped (funnel-shaped in age); margin inrolled; flesh pale orange. Fertile surface: Pale orangey-yellow to deep orange; decurrent, narrow but typically with
thickened blunt edges; forked; close. Stalk: Central to off-center to almost lateral; orange, usually finely hairy; dry; curved; tapers up (J. Solem, pers. comm.).
