Found solitary or in groups on the ground in coniferous or mixed forests.
Cap: Pinkish-brown with olive overtones, coated with tiny matted fibrils (and dirt), convex (funnel-shaped in age), margin uplifted in age; skin peels showing toothed white margin. Gills: Whitish/pale cream, crowded, forked near stalk. Stalk: Whitish/cream, often with pale greenish band at apex; stains brownish, dry, smooth (J. Solem, pers. comm.).
