Maryland recently re-opened and accepted a thorough write-up with sketch from Town Hill, Allegany Co., Maryland (10/26/1990). At the time of the report, East Coast vagrancy of this species was nearly undocumented, which caused the record to not pass in its initial circulation. After recirculation, it was accepted as the first state record of White-tailed Kite (#2010-039). No Maryland photos.
