Description

Adults of this possible undescribed species are similar to the Slant-lined Owlet and Twin-dotted Owlet. In the forewing of the Parallel-lined Owlet, the antemedial line is slightly wavy, and the postmedial and subterminal lines are nearly parallel. In the forewing of the other two species, the antemedial line is strongly waved, and the postmedial line is oblique relative to the subterminal line. The BOLD BIN of the Parallel-lined Owlet is BOLD:ABZ5098, which is most closely related to the BIN BOLD:AAB3885 of the Slant-lined Owlet.

Relationships

Larval hosts are unknown but may be grasses or sedges in wetlands.
