Scattered or groups on well-decayed stumps or hardwood logs (J. Solem, pers. comm.).

Description

Cap: Grayish-brown (white in age); smooth; convex to broadly conical; margin faintly lined; often has odor of bleach. Gills: Pale; close. Stalk: Silvery-gray to white with tiny whitish fibers; lower portion may discolor brown; white mycelium at base (J. Solem, pers. comm.).
