Splendid Tiger Beetle Cicindela splendida Hentz, 1830S1 (Highly state rare)  -  Vulnerable

Status:

This highly state rare (S1) species is found in areas with open red clay soils. Most Maryland records come from the central part of the state, but a Garrett Co. record was added in June 2014.

Relationships:

Often found with Cow Path Tiger Beetle (Pearson et al, 2006).
