Status:

Variegated Meadowhawk (Sympetrum corruptum) is a highly-migratory dragonfly, common to abundant in much of the Great Plains and West, which frequently occurs as a vagrant or transient to much of eastern North America. In Maryland, there is a single specimen record from May 12, 2012, in Prince Georges County (Richard Orr's The Dragonflies and Damselflies of Maryland and the District of Columbia).
