Description:

Fruiting body: Chalky white/gray/yellowish/pink/pale orange; may distort infected species to columnar or club shape. Beug, Bessette, and Bessette (2014) state, "...reddish-staining specimens are most likely Amanita rubescens" (J. Solem, pers. comm.).

Relationships:

Infects various Amanita species distorting all parts (J. Solem, pers. comm.).
