Status:

Found solitary or in clusters on hardwoods.

Description:

Cap: Pinkish-tan/reddish-brown (may have purplish tints when young); densely hairy, even velvety; fan or funnel-shaped, sometimes lobed; margin inrolled and hairy; flesh white, thin, tough. Gills: White to tan, close. Stalk: Colored like cap; short, stubby, generally lateral (J. Solem, pers. comm.).

Relationships:

Associated with hardwoods.
